So you just got engaged and you’re ready to put things into motion with planning your big day. To say that planning your wedding can be overwhelming is an understatement. Not to mention, how are you just supposed to know when certain decisions need to be made? Well, you’re not. And that’s why I’m sharing my wedding planning checklist timeline with you!

12 Months Before Your Wedding Date:
Set your budget and establish your wedding priorities.

Begin compiling your guest list.

Schedule your engagement photo session.
Research and book your honeymoon destination.
8 Months Before Your Wedding Date:
Order your wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses.
Choose and order wedding invitations.
Start planning your wedding ceremony and reception details.
Begin researching and booking transportation for your wedding day.
Book your hair and makeup artists for the wedding day.
Confirm arrangements for any special cultural or religious traditions.
6 Months Before Your Wedding Date:
Plan and book your rehearsal dinner venue.
Purchase wedding bands.
Arrange accommodations for your wedding night.
Start planning your honeymoon itinerary and booking flights and accommodations.
Arrange for wedding day attire fittings for you and your bridal party.
Finalize your wedding day timeline and logistics.
4 Months Before Your Wedding Date:
Send out save-the-date cards.
Finalize and order wedding stationery, including invitations, RSVP cards, and programs.
Schedule dress fittings for you and your bridal party.
Confirm bookings with all vendors and finalize contracts.
Plan and book any pre-wedding beauty treatments or spa days.
2 Months Before Your Wedding Date:

Finalize seating arrangements and create place cards.
Purchase or rent any remaining decor items.

Plan and schedule any pre-wedding events, such as bridal showers or bachelor/bachelorette parties.

1 Month Before Your Wedding Date:

Get plenty of rest and eat a nourishing breakfast.
Allow plenty of time to get ready and enjoy the process.
Stay hydrated and don't forget to eat throughout the day.
